Exhibition at Redwing Gallery - 24th March 2016

We had a very busy day finishing off the framing, labelling and hanging of our exhibition under the supervision of the forever calm and patient Ros.

We returned to Breadline for lunch -- cous cous, ratatouille, lovely mixed salads, then back to Redwing until about 4, when we dispersed for a bit of downtime.

Our exhibition opened without any special ceremony about 5:30 (that is, on time), and was a great success! It was quite obviously an achievement for all concerned, and the atmosphere allowed for a wide range to interactions between artists and audiences. The event was attended by some of our regular supporters and also some new people who have met us through Redwing - around 50 people in all. Thanks to all of you for coming along!

This week we have been preparing for our exhibition next week at Redwing Gallery. Some of us were at Breadline sorting out, photographing and finding frames for the work. Others were carrying the work down Bread Street to Redwing where Ros was helping with the framing. Next week we will be hanging the exhibition and then welcoming people to our Private View between 5.30 and 7.30 (24th March). The exhibition continues until 6th April. Opening times: Tuesday-Saturday 11am-4.30pm, Thursdays 11am-7.30pm.

It was such a busy day that I totally forgot to take any photos. We had our usual regular Roamers and as many new people. We worked on paintings and drawings. We are making a frieze of canvases with the theme 'migration' and some people continued to work on these. One person continued to work on the painting we have been making together for the St.Ives Farmer's Market.

We shared a delicious lunch of vegetarian chilli and rice with tortillas and mini pastries. This was followed by vegan cake and rice pudding.

We continued to plan for an exhibition that will be taking place at Redwing Gallery, Penzance - just down the road from Breadline. This will run from 24th March until 7th April with an opening event on 24th March from 5.30 until 7.30pm. All welcome!
